Prof. Vesselin Petrov has an extensive experience and skills in the field of vascular surgery and angiology. He has specialized in elite and prestigious European clinics in cardiovascular surgery in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Spain.

Prof. Petrov is one of the founders of the Bulgarian National Society of Vascular Surgery and he is currently the Chairman of the Management Board. He is also a member of the Bulgarian Association of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.

Prof. Petrov is one of the pioneers in introducing modern echo-doppler vascular diagnostics in Bulgaria. He has overseen the clinic for vascular surgery and angiology at the National Cardiology Hospital – Sofia for manyyears . Since 2012 he is appointed as Head of Clinic of Vascular Surgery at St. Marina Hospital - Varna.
